Cyber bullying is just like verbal bullying, except on the internet. When you use electronic devices you may run into a cyber bully. You could find them in communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chats, forums, and websites. A cyber bully will send you mean texts and emails and will spread bad rumors or embarrassing pictures. The first thing you should do is to try to ignore the bully. The bully will be looking for a response form you, don't give it to them! Most social media will give you the option to block people, feel free to use this, that's why its there! If this does not work, and you ask yourself, "how can I stop a cyber bully?" There are many ways to approach the problem. If the bully is someone you know, such as someone in your school, you can confront them or show evidence to an adult such as a parent or teacher. You should always speak up for yourself! And you yourself should not cyber bully someone else, not only will it hurt the person you cyber bully, but it will make you look bad. You can get in trouble with parents, teachers, and even the police in some situations! When communicating online, you should always act as if you were talking in person, because there is no difference, your words will be out there, and you can never take them back!
